I’m Matt Chandler, the person behind Chandler Digital. For over 15 years I’ve helped businesses make sense of the digital side of running and growing a company.

Matt Chandler

I’m not trying to be another agency.

My best client relationships are built on trust, conversation and sensible decision-making. Sometimes that involves a website. Sometimes it’s marketing, analytics, ecommerce, hosting, content or just talking through an idea over coffee.

I enjoy working with owner-managed businesses, experienced people and teams who want straight answers, responsive support and a partner who cares enough to get stuck in.

The Business Owner’s Guide to Digital Support (Without the Agency BS)

Every small business owner reaches a point where they realise their digital setup is costing them more peace of mind than it is worth.

Over the last 16 years of helping owner-managed businesses across Lancashire, I have seen the exact same digital horror stories play out time and time again. You might even recognise your own business in one of them.

If you are currently feeling frustrated, trapped or completely in the dark about your website and marketing, here is a straight-talking look at what is going wrong and exactly how we fix it.

1. The Disappearing Act: When Your Website Guy Goes Off the Radar

It usually starts with a minor issue. A typo needs fixing, a plugin needs an update or you need to check a setting. You send an email. A week passes. You call. It goes straight to voicemail.

Suddenly, it hits you: your web designer or hosting guy has completely disappeared.

This is one of the most common issues I encounter. A business owner is left completely stuck because one person holds the keys to their entire digital empire. You do not have the master passwords, you cannot access your domain name registrar, you are locked out of the website backend and you have no idea where your Google Analytics account even lives.

The Plan of Attack

When a client comes to me in this situation, we take a two-stage approach:

  • The Rescue Mission: First, we try the diplomatic route. I will help you attempt to track down the old provider, recover your credentials legally and cleanly migrate your assets over to your own secure accounts. You should always own your own data.
  • The Fresh Start (The WordPress Pivot): If the old provider is truly gone or refuses to cooperate, we execute the clean break.  We rebuild the site natively on WordPress, ensuring your website design and eCommerce layout are built to scale safely.  This is a platform you entirely own and control, meaning no single developer can ever lock you out again. We set up fresh, clean analytics. While we are at it, we use the opportunity to revisit your branding, sharpen your positioning, and rewrite your content so it actually speaks to the clients you want today, not five years ago.

2. The Expensive Ornament: The Website That Generates Zero Enquiries

The second horror story involves the website that cost a painful amount of money to build. That number is completely relative to your business. It could be £750 or it could be £5,000. Either way, it felt like a serious investment.

The site looks pretty. It went live two years ago. And it has never generated a single lead.

When I audit these types of sites, the issue is almost always foundational. I have seen cases where the main contact form was never even tested by the original designer. For all we know, your hot leads have been routing straight into an abandoned inbox belonging to a developer who built the site and walked away.

A website should not be a passive, digital ornament. If your site is not actively acting as an extra member of your sales team, something is broken structurally or strategically.

How I Handle Support Differently

I did not launch Chandler Digital to be another full-service agency that hides behind complex jargon and automated ticketing queues. I launched it to be the practical, honest ally that small businesses actually need.

When you partner with me for website maintenance, hosting and marketing support, you get a completely different experience:

  • You Own Everything: Every domain, hosting account and analytics tracker is registered under your business name. If I get hit by a bus tomorrow, your business carries on completely uninterrupted.
  • A Real Shoulder to Cry On: No anonymous support tickets. If something breaks, your tracking is messy or you just want an honest second opinion on a piece of marketing spend, you have a direct line to me.
  • No Fluff Metrics: I do not hand you raw, unexplained automated reports just to tick a box. We focus on the only metrics that matter to your bank account: cost per lead, traffic quality and real website enquiries.
